Au commencement il eut une conjugaison invraisemblable, un confinement, une passion secrète inavouée pour l'inspecteur Derrick et un amour inconsidéré pour le Korg MS10.
Les rues étaient vides et la page était encore blanche pour Jonathan Lieffroy, infatigable passionné de musique et autodidacte devant l’éternel. Lui qui l’avait toujours joué collectif au sein de groupes tels que Last Night, Master Master Wait, Infecticide et j’en passe se retrouvait alors seul face à ses envies, sans bride et sans garde-fou. L’instant fut séduisant, le temps manquant généralement à ce genre d'initiative ce dernier se laissa tenter, il n’y avait au final rien à perdre.
Il s’autorisa alors l'excentricité de l'exercice et réussit à en tirer 10 morceaux composant une bande imaginaire à la série allemande. Dix morceaux instrumentaux de disco sombre et d'enchevêtrements synthétiques.
Mais il eût été trop simple de s'en arrêter là. La vie reprenant ses droits, l'envie de partager cet étrange objet musical a vu la création de TEMPOMAT, avec l'adjonction de Nicus et Fred Campo (Frustration, Anteenagers MC, Opération S...) aux claviers. Et cerise sur la Forêt Noire, le groupe jouera en ciné-concert, pour une immersion totale dans les rues de Munich, 1976.
L'album de TEMPOMAT – Aus der Reihe Derrick sortira début octobre 2022 chez Viro Major Records et Les Disques des Mauvais Garçons, fruit d’un ennui et d’un désir secret inassouvi.

And so it started with an astonishing conjuction of circumstances, a lockdown, an unspeakable passion for the « Inspektor Derrick » mixed with a long and precious love for the Korg MS10.
The streets were empty and the page was still blank for Jonathan Lieffroy, overactive self-taught musician from France. He who had always played with his mates in bands such Last Night, Master Master Wait or Infecticide whas now facing his own self, his own desires, and on his own confession this thought was pretty appealing. The lack of time due to the velocity of modern life rarely allow this kind of opportunity, this lockdown was a blessing in disguise and after all, he had nothing to lose.
An imaginary OST from a curious german TV program from the 70’s came out from his imagination. 10 instrumental songs of dark disco fulfilled with freakish synthetic noises and evocative beats from the last century.
But it would have been too easy to stop there, life tooks up its course again and this weird musical object took life as Tempomat, a three piece live band. And as cherry on the black forest cake, the band will play as live cinema.
« Aus der Reihe Derrick » TEMPOMAT debut LP will be out on October 2022, released by Viro Major Records and Les Disques Mauvais Garçons.
